Our high-gloss acrylic line is made from 100% virgin acrylic. This means the product has never been recycled and is non-porous.

In most recycled plastics, companies are beginning to use a product called Microban. It was first used as a disinfectant. This product is said to protect products from microbes (bacteria). It is illegal to make health claims regarding Microban, because it has not yet been approved! Not to mention, that in it’s hardened state (within the acrylic), Microban lies dormant until it reaches a heat that liquefies it. Once in a liquid state, Microban is toxic to humans. Recent studies have shown that there is no difference between untreated acrylic sheet and acrylic sheet that is made with Microban in killing or inhibiting the growth of bacteria on the respective surfaces. When acrylic has not been recycled, it needs no chemicals to kill the bacteria, there are no bacteria because it is non-porous and bacteria have no place to grow.

Your bath and shower area is a hot and cold area, it’s cold when not in use and heats up very much when showering this is why we install a watertight, 3-piece wall surround that allows for thermal expansion to take place without damaging the wall system. This also allows us to warrant our acrylic products for a lifetime!

We can encapsulate your window frames, ceiling, or even larger than normal bathing areas perfectly. Your bath walls are not the same as your neighbour’s bath walls, that’s why we custom cut our wall systems on site to ensure a flush fit.
